New Delhi- In a shocking 1-hour podcast that has taken social media by storm, Megha Lavariya – the 22-year-old non-Brahmin influencer who shot to fame after raising the provocative slogan “Brahmanwad Zindabad” during the 13 February Delhi University protest – has been thoroughly exposed for her lack of knowledge about the very scriptures and ideology she claims to champion.
Journalist and podcaster Shweta Jaya grilled Megha on her background, ideology, Varna system, Manusmriti, and highly controversial statements on Muslims and “traitors”. Megha could not provide a single proper answer backed by texts and repeatedly admitted her ignorance.
Shweta Jaya asked her identity and family background to which Megha said, “The whole world already knows my name. I belong to a Rajasthani family. I have graduated from Delhi University in Political Science Honours. I am not a student anymore. I am a social media influencer. I run my own channel ‘Daily News India’ (RNI registered). I don’t want to reveal my caste because caste is the reason for all the chaos in this country. I am a Sanatani, a Hindu and an Indian. That’s enough.”
When asked why she raised the slogan, Megha claimed it was only an “aggression against the administration” against the so-called “Daphli gang” and “Tukde-Tukde gang” of JNU who write “Brahmanwad Murdabad” on walls. She said she was supporting Ruchi Tiwari along with ABVP students.
This is the clip that is breaking the internet:
Megha Lavariya: “If I am doing pooja in the morning, I become Brahmin. If I pick up a weapon when needed, I become Kshatriya. If I am doing some work for my financial stability, I become Shudra. And if I am cleaning my own house or sweeping outside somewhere, then I become Vaishya. One person has all four Varnas inside him.”
Shweta Jaya looked stunned and asked her to repeat. The entire definition was so absurd that it instantly went viral with thousands of memes calling it the “most foolish understanding of Varna system ever”.
Shweta Jaya: “You support Manusmriti in many interviews. Have you read it? Have you read Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas?”
Megha Lavariya: “I have read Manusmriti… actually I have not read it. Whatever my elders and gurus told me, I am saying that. I have not read any Upanishads. I have not read Vedas or Puranas.”
Shweta Jaya: “You are giving public definitions on national TV and social media but you have never read even one scripture? Not a single shloka?”
Megha remained silent and later said, “I will explain in detail later…” but could not quote even one verse.
Shweta then explained the actual concepts from Manusmriti – Varna Sankara, different settlements for different Varnas, shadow pollution rules, different education and property rights for children born from inter-Varna marriages – and asked Megha how she can support something she has never read. Megha simply replied, “I will not read that Manusmriti which says all this.”
Megha openly declared: “All Muslims are animals (haivan).”
When Shweta reminded her of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah”, Megha justified her hate by citing love jihad, cow slaughter, Kashmir Pandits, attacks on temples, and threats to Ram Mandir. She claimed “all training comes from the same place”.
Shweta asked for government data on love jihad cases. Megha could not provide any numbers and kept repeating “daily cases happen”.
The most alarming part came when Megha repeatedly said:
“When it comes to nation and dharma, I will pick up weapons. Shoot the traitors of the country. I can break all 206 bones and every article of the Constitution.”
Shweta Jaya: “This is a democracy. There is Constitution, law and order. You are openly provoking people to take law into their hands. This is gangsterism.”
Megha: “I accept it. If cases are filed, let them be filed. When I can read shastra, I can also pick up shastra.”
At the end of the podcast, Shweta Jaya spoke with genuine concern:
“Megha, you are only 22 years old. You have great speaking skills and leadership potential. But you did your graduation through correspondence. You never experienced real college environment, teachers and books. Please study properly. Read Upanishads, Vedas, Puranas and actual Manusmriti. Study is above everything. I see a lot of possibilities in you. Study more and grow.”
Megha replied: “I will not read anything that binds me or stops me from calling wrong as wrong.”
Within hours of the podcast release, hashtags #MeghaLavariyaExposed, #ShwetaJayaPodcast, #VarnaDefinition, and #BrahmanwadZindabad are trending. While some hardliners are still calling Megha “Sanatan’s daughter”, the majority are laughing at her Varna system definition and slamming her for defending an ideology she has never studied.
One viral comment: “She wants to save Sanatan but has never opened a single Sanatan book. Irony died a thousand deaths today.”
