New Delhi : Maulana Shafi Madani, National Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), along with other Jamaat leaders, visited the flood-affected regions of Sangra and Baupur Jadid villages in Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala District), Sunder Chuck, Bahadarpur, Kolia Safar Tehseel (Pathankot District) and Sindhupur in Jalandhar.

In Kolia village, 30 concrete houses were washed away in the floods. Tragically, four lives were lost, including three young siblings and a 75-year-old grandmother. During the visit, the JIH delegation interacted with Sikh Community leaders, Nodal officers and affected villagers to assess their urgent needs. The discussions focused on providing comprehensive relief - including food, shelter, clean drinking water, medical services, and long-term rehabilitation measures to help families rebuild their lives.
