UP Deputy CM Predicts Samajwadi Party's Complete Wipeout, Cites Criminal Activities

Pathak Blasts SP, Compares Them to Mythical Villains

Lucknow - Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak predicted on Tuesday that the Samajwadi Party (SP) would soon "be wiped out completely," asserting that voters would reject what he termed the party's "criminal activities."

Speaking to reporters, Pathak compared SP's previous administration to controversial figures from Hindu mythology, stating, "During their tenure in Uttar Pradesh, SP leaders' activities were similar to those of 'Kans', 'Duryodhan' and 'Ravana'." He further alleged that the state experienced "over 1,000 riots, hooliganism, and crimes against women" under SP governance.

Pathak's remarks came in response to a controversial statement by Opposition Leader Mata Prasad Pandey, who had claimed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fears SP chief Akhilesh Yadav "like Kansa was of Lord Krishna."

This exchange follows Monday's legislative session where CM Adityanath criticized opposition questions about Maha Kumbh arrangements. "Everyone got what they searched for in the Maha Kumbh," Adityanath remarked. "Vultures saw the body, pigs got dirt, sensitive people got a beautiful picture of relationships, believers got virtue, gentlemen got nobility, rich got business, poor got employment, devotees got God. How will socialists and leftists see the beauty of Sanatan?"

The Chief Minister also targeted the opposition for what he described as a pattern of mockery followed by eventual acceptance. He noted that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's participation in the holy dip at Sangam demonstrated his "acceptance of the event" despite initial criticism.

Adityanath extended this pattern to the Ram temple issue, saying, "When we were fighting for Ram temple at Ayodhya, the SP mocked, opposed and later accepted it... They protested it and later said that Ram belongs to all."
