1,757 Covid Cases, 6 Fatalities in Delhi

According to information provided by the city's health department, the national capital on Wednesday reported 1,757 cases of Covid-19, six fatalities, and a positive rate of 28.63 percent. With the most recent deaths, Delhi has now experienced 26,578 fatalities. 377 of the 7,967 available beds are taken.

In contrast to Monday's 1,017 cases, the city saw 1,537 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday.

The majority of the COVID-19 instances are apparently coming from eight states, including Kerala, Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Rajasthan, as discussed during the PMO officials' meeting.

Importantly, 92% of the eight states' COVID-positive cases now are being isolated at home. The high-level conference was presided over by Dr. PK Mishra, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, and was intended to assess the readiness of the medical infrastructure and logistics, the availability of medications, and the immunization program.

Only 574 doses of the COVID-19 vaccination were given out in the past twenty-four hours, in contrast to the rising number of illnesses. As part of the immunization program, India has administered a total of 220.66 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precaution doses).
