Modi's Bhopal Visit: Extended Meeting with Party Leaders and Major Healthcare Project Inauguration Ahead of Global Investors' Summit

Bhopal- Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming Bhopal visit has drawn significant attention, particularly due to a planned extended meeting with party leaders scheduled for Sunday. The gathering, which includes discussions with MPs and state legislators, will take place over dinner at the Kushabhau Thakre Convention Center.

In an unprecedented move, the Prime Minister will stay overnight at Raj Bhavan, though party officials have not disclosed specific details about the meeting's agenda. The visit coincides with Modi's scheduled inauguration of the eighth Global Investors' Summit 2025 on February 24.

Before the summit, Modi will visit Bageshwar Dham in Garha village, Chhatarpur district, arriving at Khajuraho Airport around 1 p.m. During his hour-long visit to Garha village, he will lay the foundation stone for a significant healthcare project - the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute. This Rs 200 crore facility aims to provide free cancer treatment to underprivileged patients and will be equipped with modern technology and specialist medical staff.

The Global Investors' Summit will feature representatives from 60 countries and showcase new investment opportunities in the state. The event will include ten sector-specific and seven departmental sessions covering various industries including pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, mining, urban development, and information technology. Diplomatic representatives from numerous countries, including Japan, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom, are expected to attend.
