Lucknow: A case of torturing a Dalit family has come to the fore from Uttar Pradesh. A Dalit has been brutally beaten up in Lucknow, whose video is also becoming fiercely viral on social media.

What is the whole matter?

A case of thrashing of a Dalit has come to light in Shahpur village of Itaunja police station in Lucknow. The Dalit man was brutally beaten up by taking off his clothes.

Bhim Army worker Aniket Dhanuk has given information about the matter through his Twitter.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, a Dalit youth was beaten up fiercely by the domineering youths in Lucknow's Thana Itaunja on Monday night. After that, the youth was thrown in the field outside the village and now is in critical condition. The victim sought help from the people who came for defecation in the morning. One of them, seeing him in this condition, gave him a shawl. People informed the victim's family about this, after which the victim's family reached there.

The police swung into action on Tuesday the next day after the video of the victim lying naked in the field went viral. Describing the incident as suspicious, the police is talking about taking further action based on the investigation.

A case was filed for raping the daughter

The incident is related to the rape case where the victim's daughter was allegedly raped by a resident of the area. The rapist is from the Yadav community. The victim's family had also filed a case against the youth and after which, the rapist was arrested and jailed for a year.

After coming out of jail, the rapist was looking for an opportunity to take revenge on the girl's family. Seeing the opportunity, the rapist along with his companions beat up the girl's father. Taking off the victim's clothes and taking him behind the bushes, they beat him mercilessly.

Family accused the police

The family members of the victims alleged that the police is yet to see anything very active in the matter. The victim's son has also made serious allegations against the police. They tried to register an FIR against the youth of the Yadav community but the police are not registering the FIR. The son said that the police is making different allegations against the victim's family on the contrary.

"A video was made of a naked Dalit youth being beaten up badly in Shahpur village under Itaunja police station of capital Lucknow. How long will these atrocities continue? The administration should take action as soon as possible otherwise the Bhim Army will hit the streets." said Bhim Army worker Aniket Dhanuk.

In another tweet, he told that the Bhim Army team has met the victim's family.

He tweeted, "Lucknow Bhim Army team has reached to meet the victim's family and those who have committed cruelty will not be spared at all, strict action will be taken against them."
