New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar gained significant momentum on Wednesday as Members of Parliament from across party lines and comedian Kunal Kamra visited the site to express solidarity with students demanding accountability for repeated paper leaks and examination failures.

Members of Parliament from multiple political parties visited the protest site, including Chandrashekhar Azad (MP, Aazad Samaj Party), Mohibbullah Naqvi (Samajwadi Party, Lok Sabha MP), Dola Sen (Trinamool Congress, Rajya Sabha MP), Prashant Yadaorao Padole (Indian National Congress, Lok Sabha MP), Ajendra Singh Lodhi (Samajwadi Party, Lok Sabha MP), and Sandosh Kumar (CPI, Rajya Sabha MP).

The visiting MPs assured protesters that the issue would be raised strongly during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament. They emphasized that political accountability must be fixed for repeated examination failures and committed to raising the matter in the all-party meeting on 19th July as well as inside Parliament.

Addressing the gathering, the MPs stated, "This is not just CJP's demand; it is the demand of the entire nation. We stand with the students and will raise this issue inside Parliament."

Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar appealed to students, youth and citizens across the country to join the 20th July Parliament March, assuring full support for mobilising people to the movement.

Chandrashekhar Azad: "Youth Changes History When It Fights"

MP Chandrashekhar Azad extended his full support to the movement and backed the 20th July Peaceful Parliament March. Calling upon young people across the country to join the struggle, he declared, "Youth changes history when it fights. This is a defining battle for the future of India. If the youth do not fight for themselves, who will?"

Azad also questioned the Centre's continued silence over activist Sonam Wangchuk's deteriorating health. "How long can this dictatorship continue? Why are the Prime Minister, Home Minister and Education Minister refusing to listen? Is this government waiting for Sonam Wangchuk to die? I salute his courage. If anything happens to him, the government will be responsible," he said.

He appealed to students, youth and citizens across the country to join the 20th July Parliament March, assuring full support for mobilising people to the movement. "Join the movement on the 20th, and the morning of the 21st will be a new beginning," he added.

Kamra questioned the Centre's complete lack of accountability and criticised its insensitivity towards students whose futures have been repeatedly jeopardised by examination scams.

Interacting with the protesters, Kamra praised the courage and determination of Wangchuk and the students who have continued their peaceful movement despite the government's continued silence.

Kamra questioned the Centre's complete lack of accountability and criticised its insensitivity towards students whose futures have been repeatedly jeopardised by examination scams. He called upon the youth of the country to participate in the movement and urged students to step out of their homes and stand in solidarity with those fighting for a fair and transparent examination system.

The CJP movement, which began as an online satirical response to remarks made by the Chief Justice of India last month, has evolved into a broader campaign focusing on examination and admission-related issues. The protest has attracted massive online following, with the CJP's Instagram account reportedly gaining millions of followers.

The CJP has reiterated its key demands: accountability for repeated examination failures, justice for affected students and their families, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The movement has also demanded ₹1 crore compensation for families of students who allegedly died by suicide amid paper leak crises.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who returned from the United States last month to lead the mobilization, had given a seven-day ultimatum for the Education Minister's removal. "If he is not removed or does not step down within the next 7 days, we will be forced to continue our protest on the ground," Dipke had stated. The CJP has been staging a sit-in-protest since June 20 at Jantar Mantar site.

The protest comes amid mounting criticism of the Education Ministry over controversies including the NEET-UG paper leak and concerns surrounding the CBSE Class 12 examination process. Authorities have recently removed top education bosses from the exam board following marking failures in tests taken by nearly two million students.
