New Delhi- Education reform activist Sonam Wangchuk today completed the 18th day of his indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, where he continues to demand justice for students affected by repeated paper leaks and examination failures.

Issuing the daily medical bulletin, Dr Satish Lamba, General Physician, Medical Superintendent, The Clinics, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, and former Secretary of the Delhi Medical Association (DMA), said that Sonam Wangchuk remains very weak and is under 24-hour medical vigilance due to his prolonged fast.

According to the latest health bulletin, Sonam Wangchuk’s weight has dropped to 57.15 kg, down 400 grams from 57.55 kg recorded yesterday. His blood sugar level is 80 mg/dL, hydration is fair, he remains mentally alert, and blood pressure is 105/76 mmHg.

The Cockroach Janta Party reiterates its appeal to the Union Government to immediately engage in dialogue with Sonam Wangchuk and address the concerns being raised by students across the country. CJP also calls upon citizens to join the peaceful Parliament March on 20th July, demanding a transparent examination system, accountability for repeated paper leaks, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
