Mashal Juloos at HCU Demands Atrocities Act for Backward Classes

During the Mashal Juloos, participants raised powerful slogans demanding the immediate implementation of UGC Social Equity Regulations to curb caste discrimination against SC, ST, and OBC communities in higher educational institutions.

Under the leadership of the All India OBC Students Association (AIOBCSA), a Mashal Juloos (torch rally) was successfully organized on 1 March at 6:00 PM, from LH-9 to South Gate at the University of Hyderabad (HCU).

The rally strongly condemned the atrocities committed against the family of Chakali Ganesh in Kummera village, Nagarkurnool district, and demanded the enactment of a separate BC Prevention of Atrocities Act to ensure legal protection for Backward Classes (BCs).
