'No One Held Accountable’: At 2nd Press Conference, Cockroach Janta Party Reiterates Call for Dharmendra Pradhan’s Resignation on June 6

The CJP team demanded immediate resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a transparent accountability mechanism for all examination failures since 2024.

New Delhi – Amid mounting anger over a series of examination paper leaks, student suicides, and massive data breaches, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Thursday doubled down on its call for a mass protest at Jantar Mantar, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

At its second press conference in the capital, the fledgling political outfit declared that the peaceful democratic demonstration will go ahead on Saturday, 6 June.

The briefing opened with a two-minute silence in memory of Akanksha, an 18-year-old NEET aspirant from Madhya Pradesh who died by suicide after her family took a ₹3 lakh Kisan Credit Card loan to fund her preparation. CJP leaders confirmed that five other students have also taken their own lives in recent weeks, with hundreds more reported to be suffering from acute mental distress due to what the party called "administrative negligence."

The peaceful protest on 6 June is dedicated to all these students whom the system has failed.

"What India is witnessing is a systemic failure destroying the mental health, privacy, dignity, and futures of lakhs of students. Paper leaks, student deaths, data breaches, portal failures, and evaluation chaos have become the new normal under the current Education Ministry, and no one has been held accountable," CJP spokespersons said.

Over eight lakh students have signed a petition on CJP's website demanding the Education Minister's resignation.

CJP spokespersons also highlighted the personal data breach of 1.8 lakh JEE Advanced candidates, where an insecure cloud storage configuration linked to JEE Advanced 2026 exposed result records and admit-card PDFs containing candidate names, dates of birth, and mobile numbers of minors. IIT Roorkee's response that the data was "read-only" was firmly rejected. A privacy breach is not harmless just because the marks could not be changed. The breach was caught by a young cybersecurity researcher, Rylen Anil. Days earlier, a similar vulnerability was found in CBSE's OnMark portal, again by an ethical hacker, and not the administration.

Over eight lakh students have signed a petition on CJP's website demanding the Education Minister's resignation. The petition has received no official response. CJP also appealed to the Delhi Police to take cognisance of hate and violence videos circulating online against protesters and to take immediate steps to prevent the spread of misinformation ahead of 6 June.

Programme: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke returns from the United States to lead this movement in person. He will land at Delhi Airport at 8:00 AM on 6 June and will be received by noted activist Sonam Wangchuk. The delegation will proceed to Parliament Street Police Station to seek formal permission for the Jantar Mantar protest.
