New Delhi- Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced that he will return to India on June 6 to stage a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a video message shared on social media, Dipke said, “I have decided to come back to India to demand the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.”
Highlighting the growing anguish among students, Dipke stated that despite repeated voices raised over paper leaks, the NEET exam, and student suicides, the government remains unaffected. He claimed that 8 lakh students have signed his petition, and crores are supporting the cause on social media. Protests, he said, are already ongoing in Lucknow, Jaipur, Maharashtra, and Delhi, but have had little impact on the government or the minister.
“NEET with 22 lakh students, CBSE with 17 lakh, CUET with 16 lakh, SSC with lakhs of students- this is mockery. Someone has to take responsibility. Accountability no longer exists. All consequences are for students, none for the government,” Dipke asserted.
He warned that if the government does not act, he along with his supporters will march together to the Parliament Street police station to seek permission for a protest, emphasizing that the Indian Constitution allows peaceful assembly.
Dipke acknowledged that his family and friends believe he will be arrested immediately upon arrival, possibly sent to jail. However, he said, “I still believe in democracy. I am a great admirer of Gandhi, Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, and Nehru. I believe in the Constitution of India more than anything else. This is not any one party’s country, it is everyone’s country. How long will we live in fear?”
In a striking personal revelation, Dipke said he has received a job offer from the USA and could have stayed abroad comfortably. “But I am returning. How long will we wait for someone else to raise our voice?” he asked, calling on students and citizens to come together to speak up for millions of affected students.
Dipke has urged all supporters to join the peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. Authorities are yet to comment on his planned return or the protest permission.
