New Delhi- World Elephant Day is being celebrated on Monday, August 12. The day is dedicated to bringing attention to the importance of elephants and to promoting their conservation. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has issued a statement on the occasion to highlight the importance of elephants in Indian culture and history.
