Modeled on Nalanda University, Residential Education Center at International Buddha Vihar Underway in Gwalior

The residential education center under construction at the International Buddha Vihar is receiving support from the Bahujan community across the country. Once operational, it will provide quality education to thousands of children with excellent facilities.

Bhopal- A national-level residential education center, modeled after Nalanda University, is being established at the International Buddha Vihar in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The center, being constructed on 200 bigha of land, will accommodate and educate 10,000 students.

The residential education center under construction at the International Buddha Vihar is receiving support from the Bahujan community across the country. Once operational, it will provide quality education to thousands of children with excellent facilities.

Lakhman Singh Baudh, associated with the center, told The Mooknayak, "It is through education that we can fulfill the dreams of great leaders. We are working to ensure that the Bahujan community is fully engaged in education."

He explained that the project is divided into 10 phases. The first phase, set to be completed by 2025, will provide residential facilities and education for around 1,000 students. Currently, approval has been obtained for classes six to eight. Over the next ten years, the center will develop into a university. "We are starting with school education and will establish a university similar to Nalanda," he said.

Lakhman shared that he had once visited Nalanda University in Bihar and witnessed its destruction. "That day, we resolved to establish an education center like Nalanda in Gwalior, and we have already begun the first phase."

Nearby, 25 villages are providing support. They are helping collect construction materials for the building. Lakhman Singh mentioned that the villagers have assured their full support in operating the education center.

By the tenth phase, the center will become a university. Currently, the education center at the International Buddha Vihar has received accreditation for secondary education. The first and second phases will offer school education, the third phase will introduce college education, and by the final, tenth phase, it will become a university where 10,000 students can pursue various courses with residential facilities.
