Bamanwas (Gangapur City)- In a deeply disturbing case that has sparked widespread anger, a senior female teacher at a government higher secondary school allegedly made Class 9 and 11 girl students remove their clothes for a search after she suspected them of stealing around ₹1,000. The incident at Rajkiya Uchch Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Liwali village led to immediate protests by parents and villagers, who locked the school gates on Wednesday morning.

The teacher, identified as Saraswati Meena, reportedly lost the money and accused the students. Instead of following proper procedure, she allegedly crossed all limits of decency by conducting a humiliating strip search on the girls. Traumatised students informed their families, triggering massive outrage in the village.

Parents and locals gathered in large numbers outside the school on Wednesday, locked the main gate, and staged a strong demonstration demanding strict action.

Upon receiving information, Chief Block Education Officer (CBEO) Pratibha Meena reached the spot, spoke directly to the affected students, and escalated the matter to senior officials. Following the CBEO’s report, the Joint Director of School Education, Bharatpur Division, suspended Saraswati Meena. During the suspension period, she has been attached to the CBEO office in Rajakheda, Dholpur.

The school’s vocational education trainer, Vandana Sharma, who was reportedly working through a service provider, was also removed from duty in connection with the case.

Parents have also alleged that some teachers tried to intimidate the girls and their families to hush up the matter.

The school principal, Manoj Kumar Meena, has come under scrutiny for allegedly trying to suppress the sensitive incident and not taking it seriously. The CBEO has written to higher authorities recommending disciplinary action against him for negligence.

Parents have also alleged that some teachers tried to intimidate the girls and their families to hush up the matter. The CBEO has assured a fair and impartial inquiry and promised action against all those found guilty as per rules.

This incident has once again highlighted concerns over safety, dignity, and accountability in government educational institutions, especially for girl students from rural backgrounds. Local residents are demanding a thorough probe to ensure such violations are not repeated.
