Unnao Horror: Condition of Burnt Infants Critical; Four Arrested

Lucknow: The police have arrested four people in connection with the gruesome incident in Unnao, where the rape accused set the house of the victims on fire and threw two babies into the flames. One of the babies was born out of rape by the accused while the other was her sister. The father of the victim had named seven accused, including Aman and Satish, in the FIR. Satish was out on bail in the rape case. The father of the victim alleged that the accused, along with his father and brother, were pressurizing the family for a compromise, and when they refused, they set the house on fire.

The accused, grandfather of the victim, Satish S/o P.Ram and Sukhdin S/o Kishanpal, were arrested based on the complaint. Victim's Uncle who was seen in a video footage, was also arrested earlier. Arun and Aman are still in jail. Despite claims of the Uttar Pradesh government that it has controlled crime, the incident has accentuated the brazenness of criminals.

According to sources, the condition of two infants, the sister of the victim, and her son, is critical. They sustained severe burns after the accused set the house on fire and threw the babies into the flames. The babies are being treated for burns in the plastic surgery ward of King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow.
