NEW DELHI: To commemorate the 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has announced it will organize the 'Inclusive Economy Summit 2026.' The daylong national forum is scheduled to take place on April 14, 2026, at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.
The summit aims to revisit Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy not only as the chief architect of the Constitution but as a pioneering economist. The event will focus on connecting his vision of fiscal justice and equitable resource access with India's contemporary national mission of building a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047.
A Platform for Economic Democracy
The forum will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including political leaders, senior Union Ministers, Members of Parliament, policymakers, economists, industry heads, and development sector leaders. The discussions are set to center on economic democracy, inclusive growth, and institutional reforms.
Rusen Kumar, National President of the Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s economic thought in modern India.
“Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar gave India not only a Constitution but a powerful economic vision rooted in dignity, justice, and opportunity. The Inclusive Economy Summit 2026 is our collective commitment to revive that vision and shape a development roadmap where growth is not exclusive but truly participatory and equitable,” Kumar stated.
He further added, “Economic democracy is the real foundation of a strong nation. When entrepreneurship, credit access, and livelihood opportunities reach every community, India becomes unstoppable.”
Key Focus Areas and Deliverables
The summit will address critical themes such as inclusive capital systems, entrepreneurship for marginalized communities, labor protections, social security, and MSME opportunity equalization.
A primary outcome of the event will be the presentation of the “Ambedkar Inclusive Economy Declaration.” This formal statement is intended to serve as a guiding document for national commitment to inclusive economic development and policy reform. The summit aims to generate policy recommendations and build networks across government, private sectors, and finance ecosystems.
Special Features
In addition to plenary and leadership sessions, the event will feature a painting exhibition dedicated to the life and legacy of Dr. Ambedkar. This exhibition will capture his struggles, reforms, and contributions to nation-building through artistic narratives, adding cultural depth to the policy-oriented discussions.
The event will conclude with valedictory proceedings, reinforcing the ACCI’s role as a platform for inclusive participation and economic empowerment.
