Rajasthan: Agreed on the demand of relatives in Didwana Nirbhaya case

Nagaur: In the Nirbhaya case in Didwana, the district administration has accepted the demands of the family members of the victim. In this case, people of many social organizations and the relatives of the victim were sitting on dharna for their demands and were adamant about not conducting the post-mortem of the dead body. Their demand was that we will not allow the postmortem of the dead body until our demands are accepted.

The case pertains to a village in Didwana tehsil of Nagaur district. When The Mooknayak team spoke to the victim's brother, he said, "We found our sister in an unconscious state and filed a missing report on February 6. At that time the police questioned two suspects and released them. We kept pleading with the police to find the sister and the SHO went on leave."

On a conversation with The Mooknayak team, the brother said, "The police tried to suppress the matter and did not inform the matter even to the SP, during this time SP Sahib Rammurti Joshi, Didwana, had come to Didwana regarding a robbery case, there We took a complaint in front of him, and when the SP sahib asked, we told about the incident. On hearing this, the SP sahib immediately asked the police officer to bring the suspects immediately.

Those who were suspected, the police interrogated them hard and when the police reached the place mentioned by the accused, they found her in a state of unconsciousness whose parts were found mutilated, and insects were crawling in the private part, the hot was also bitten and the body also looked as if it had been nailed down." Brother said sadly.

The brother further said she (sister) was brought to Bangar Hospital Didwana and from there she was referred to Jaipur when her condition became critical. He died during treatment at SMS Hospital in Jaipur. We and our family sat on a dharna outside the mortuary of SMS Hospital, along with us activists of many social organizations and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, former Medical Minister Rajendra Singh Rathod, Hanuman Beniwal from Rashtriya Loktantrik Party also came with us and demanded and Started protesting against.

We staged a sit-in for 2 days at the mortuary of SMS Hospital and Shaheed Memorial Jaipur and Didwana subdivision office. Two days after the dharna, police came around 02:50 in the morning and the police chased us and snatched our mobiles and the body was forcibly sent to Didwana." Brother told.

The case pointed to the negligence of the CI and it was alleged that the matter was kept under wraps for 4 days, after which CI Jakhar and Head-Constable Prahlad were suspended.

On February 21, the family of Nagaur Nirbhaya performed the last rites of the dead body.

The district administration accepted the demands

Seeing the matter moving forward, the district administration had to agree to the demand, and the demands of the relatives were agreed upon. Under the leadership of Nagaur District Collector Piyush Samaria, the following demands of the family have been agreed upon:

• Case Investigation Jaipur Level (by ADG Crime)
• Amount of assistance in the completion of food in the name of children
• Quickly admission of children to convenient residential school
• Proposal for assistance amount in addition to the assistance amount of SC / ST Act
• Children will be linked to pension and an amount will be given to their account
• Investigation from ADG crime level to take action against officers who are negligent in investigation
• Dairy booth will be set up for self-employment to patrons
• Benefits of various schemes under RDPR on the basis of eligibility
• On attaining adulthood, a job offer will be sent
• Care will be taken for the safety of the victim's family
• Whatever benefits will be available by the SDM will be verified, if irregularities are found and if irregularities are found on the maintenance of children, strict action will be taken.

All these agreements were signed by the family members of the deceased's brother and father and the ongoing dharna regarding the demands was brought to an end.
