CBI Conducts Polygraph Test on Main Accused in Kolkata Rape Case

Kolkata- In the wake of the horrific rape and murder of a student at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, the CBI has conducted a polygraph test of the main accused and the lone arrested person in the case.

According to reports, the CBI team reached the Presidency Correctional Home at around 11 am on August 25 and stayed there for four hours after taking into custody Sanjay Roy. The team also interrogated Sanjoy in front of the psychologists and behavioral experts of the Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, the former superintendent of RG Kar Bulbul Mukherjee, member of the Homicide Branch of Kolkata Police, and the Special Investigating Team of RG Kat outpost were also questioned by the investigating team at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake.

The investigating team also visited the residence of Chandan Louha, a close associate of Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of the hospital. According to reports, Louha's wife runs a coffee shop at RG Kar, which has been alleged to be illegal.

The CBI has visited 15 locations in connection with the financial irregularities at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata so far. The main accused and the lone arrested person, Sanjay Roy, has undergone a polygraph test today.
