Bikaner: A shocking incident has come to light in the Bikaner court of Rajasthan, which has caused widespread outrage. A young girl and her Dalit lover had arrived at the court premises to solemnize their marriage. However, chaos ensued when the girl's family members, strongly opposed to the relationship, appeared on the scene and forcefully abducted her, leaving the Dalit youth desperately pleading for her safety. Disturbing footage of the incident has now gone viral on social media, drawing further attention to the matter.
The incident took place amidst a tumultuous atmosphere in the Bikaner court. A speeding car arrived, carrying the girl's relatives who swiftly surrounded the couple. In a brazen act, they forcibly seized the girl and forcefully opened the car door, shoving her inside. Without wasting a moment, the family members hastily escaped from the scene in the car, leaving behind chaos and disbelief.
It has been revealed that the Dalit youth had been in a romantic relationship with the girl, which was vehemently opposed by her family. In an attempt to protect her from the young man, the girl's family had sent her to her maternal grandfather's house in Bikaner. However, some days ago, the girl eloped with her lover, leaving her grandfather. On Monday, when the court opened, the Dalit youth, accompanied by his sisters and friends, arrived with the girl to complete the necessary paperwork for their marriage. Unfortunately, the girl's maternal uncle and other relatives arrived at the court in a car and forcibly snatched her away from the Dalit youth.
The youth, belonging to the Nayak caste, immediately reported the incident to the Superintendent of Police in Bikaner, urging swift action to locate the girl and ensure her safety. It has been alleged that during the incident, the girl's relatives also assaulted the youth and his sisters, exacerbating an already distressing situation.
This distressing turn of events has sparked widespread concern and condemnation, highlighting the urgent need to address issues of caste discrimination and safeguard individuals' right to choose their partners freely. Authorities are said to be under pressure to resolve the matter. The Mooknayak attempted to reach out to Bikaner SP Tejaswini Gautam through her office phone number and sent a message on her Whatsapp number inquiring about the progress of the police action, but regrettably, no response was received.
