MP Election Results: BJP heading for comfortable win in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be heading for a comfortable victory in Madhya Pradesh with trends showing the party leading in 160 of the 230 assembly seats. The Congress, on the other hand, is trailing with 68 seats.

The Congress is trailing with 68 seats in Madhya Pradesh, while Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the BJP's performance in the state.

Mr Chouhan exuded confidence that the party will get a "comfortable and grand majority" in the state.

The Chief Minister further said that the people of Madhya Pradesh have accepted the double-engine government. He claimed that the schemes of the state government as well as the central government have reached the people and touched their hearts.

Madhya Pradesh became a family... I had said earlier too that the BJP would get a comfortable and grand majority as people's love for us was visible everywhere.
