Mumbai- Manisha Kayande predicted the split of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance due to mounting internal dissent. Speaking to IANS on Friday, Kayande expressed confidence that a new government would be formed swiftly in Maharashtra, with announcements regarding the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister expected within a day or two.

Kayande pointed to growing discontent within the MVA, stating that those previously opposed to Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray were now openly expressing their dissatisfaction. She cited comments from those holding positions like Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council as evidence of this growing unrest. According to Kayande, many within the MVA are eager to join the Eknath Shinde faction.

Regarding the formation of the new government, Kayande assured that discussions were progressing rapidly and that a "strong and efficient government" would be established. She emphasized that Shiv Sena remains a committed member of the NDA and that all decisions have been entrusted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Kayande dismissed opposition claims about delays in government formation, stating that the MVA had no realistic chance of forming a government. She criticized the MVA's internal conflicts, claiming they were evident during seat-sharing talks prior to the election, where they tried to sabotage each other's candidates. She also highlighted that even if the MVA had somehow formed a government, they would have spent a month fighting amongst themselves.
