This marks the third visit by NAAC to Sukhadia University, with previous assessments in 2003 and 2014 resulting in B+ and A grades, respectively. The university is now poised to potentially achieve a grade above 'A'. Such a high grade can lead to numerous benefits, including financial grants and a stronger position in the higher education sector.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) evaluation typically occurs every five years to assess and accredit higher education institutions in India. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university visit was delayed by approximately three to four years.

The benefits of NAAC grading are significant. When a university receives a high grade, such as A++:

1. The obligation for official inspections to receive financial grants from government schemes ends, simplifying the funding process.

2. The grading is noted on students' mark sheets, which can positively impact their admissions and placement in the higher education sector.

3. The university's documentation becomes more comprehensive and accurate, reflecting its achievements and quality.

4. Achieving an 'A+' grade can pave the way for the university to be transformed into a Central University, which brings increased recognition and opportunities for the institution.

It's worth noting that Mohanlal Sukhadia University is currently well-positioned to meet the qualifications required for Central University status, further emphasizing the importance of receiving a favourable NAAC grading.

They commended the university for its high-quality educational facilities and physical resources, despite it being a state university. The team was particularly impressed with the laboratories, research projects, and innovations at the institution.

Typically, the grading is announced within a week of the NAAC visit, and it's expected that the NAAC grading for Mohanlal Sukhadia University will be disclosed within the next week. This positive feedback from the NAAC team suggests that the university may receive a favorable grading.
