Nepal Academy, BHU Sign MoU for Nepali Language and Culture Study

Collaboration to focus on Nepali language, literature, and culture

New Delhi- A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Nepal Academy and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for the mutual study of Nepali language, literature, culture, and philosophy in Nepal and India.

The agreement was signed by Member-Secretary of the Nepal Academy Dr Dhanprasad Subedi and Prof Diwakar Pradhan, Head of the Department of Indian Languages at BHU, on 17 August 2024.

Both the institutions have agreed to collaborate in the field of research and translation to promote the Nepali language. The Nepal Academy will provide scholarships and internships for research students studying in the Department of Indian Language.

The MoU is aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of Nepali and Indian Nepali literary figures and institutions in the fields of language, literature, and culture.
