New Delhi- The Bharatiya Janta Party has slammed Rahul Gandhi for alleging irregularities in the NEET examination. The party's spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi has called Gandhi's bluff on the issue and said that the government is fully alert and sensitive over the NEET exam issue.

Trivedi said that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the alleged irregularities in the NEET exam.

He alleged that the Congress government is playing politics over the issue and it has nothing to do with the future of lakhs of students. He said that the government will not allow any injustice to be done in this matter.

Another party leader Shehzad Poonawalla said that it was Ashok Gehlot, the leader of the Congress government in Rajasthan, who led the paper leak case in the country. He said that Gandhi did not speak a word on that issue at the time. Poonawalla said that the incident of paper leaks used to happen every year in the previous UPA rule.

Earlier, Gandhi had demanded that strict action be taken against those responsible for alleged irregularities in the NEET exam. He had alleged that the country is facing a national crisis. He said that the government is silent on the issue. On his X handle, Rahul wrote: " Papers are being leaked continuously in India and Narendra Modi is either unable to stop it or does not want to stop it. BJP ruled states have become the epicentre of paper leaks and laboratories of education mafias. The BJP government is playing with the future of the youth by ruining the education system. INDIA will never allow this to happen."
