New Delhi- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his comments made during his recent visit to the United States. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized Gandhi, pointing out the irony of Congress discussing the Constitution when it was the same party that imposed an emergency and altered the Constitution's preamble in the past.

Poonawalla further highlighted that the National Conference, an ally of Congress, has pledged to reinstate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He challenged Rahul Gandhi to clarify his stance on whether he supports Article 370 or stands by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's vision of the Constitution for Jammu and Kashmir.

During his US visit, Rahul Gandhi had accused the BJP of weakening the Constitution and also criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He remarked that Indian politics currently lacks love, respect, and humility.
