Chennai- A special book prepared by the All India OBC Students Association (AIOBCSA), focusing on the need for a caste census and the pursuit of social justice, was unveiled by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin. On Sunday, a delegation led by AIOBCSA National President G. Kiran Kumar, along with members Lakshminarasaiah, Ashwin, and Bharat Varma, met him at his residence in Chennai. They presented the book to the Chief Minister, who formally released it and appreciated the efforts of the association.

Speaking after the book launch, G. Kiran Kumar praised Stalin for consistently raising his voice for a caste census and the rights of OBCs, calling him a true symbol of social justice in the country. He stated that AIOBCSA extends its full support to the DMK alliance for its ongoing efforts to protect the rights of marginalized communities, not only in Tamil Nadu but across India. AIOBCSA urged youth and students to vote against BJP, which is an anti-social justice party.

He also expressed satisfaction that the Chief Minister took time from his schedule to engage in a meaningful and constructive discussion on the importance of a caste census.

Student leaders appreciated the initiatives taken by the Stalin government to implement OBC reservations in exams like NEET and in institutions such as National Law Universities and Central Universities. They also commended the DMK’s broader efforts to push for a nationwide caste census and the implementation of UGC social equity norms for the empowerment of SC, ST and OBCs.

The association conveyed special thanks to P. Wilson, Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate, for coordinating the meeting and facilitating the interaction with the Chief Minister, during which the delegation also briefed him on the organization’s ongoing movements and initiatives.
