Lucknow- In the ongoing 69,000 teacher recruitment case, candidates from reserved categories have surrounded the residence of Minister Ashish Patel, demanding the implementation of the High Court's order. The protest took place in Lucknow, where a large number of candidates gathered and staged a sit-in in front of the minister's residence, raising slogans. A heavy police presence was deployed at the scene.

The candidates are demanding that the government promptly enforce the High Court's decision and ensure justice by facilitating their appointments. They also call for the immediate removal of tainted officials involved in the recruitment process and the appointment of new officials to ensure transparency.

Amrendra Patel, who led the protest, stated, "This recruitment process began in 2018. When the results were announced, reserved category candidates were unfairly treated and denied employment. After a long struggle and judicial proceedings, on August 13, 2024, the Double Bench of the Lucknow High Court ruled in our favor, ordering the government to appoint us according to the reservation rules. However, the government is stalling. We demand that the government resolve this issue quickly and announce a schedule for our appointments."

Patel further explained that the court has nullified the original selection list of the 69,000 teacher recruitment and directed the government to release a new list within three months, adhering to reservation rules. However, the government has only held one meeting so far and has taken no further action. The protesters are demanding that the government release a schedule for the recruitment process as soon as possible.
