BJP Condemns Abdullah's Remarks on Afzal Guru

Party calls statement irresponsible, anti-national

The BJP has fiercely criticized National Conference leader Omar Abdullah's comments on the execution of Afzal Guru. Party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad called Abdullah's remarks irresponsible and anti-national. Prasad emphasized that Afzal Guru was sentenced to death through a lawful process, which was upheld by the Supreme Court even after a review.

He accused Abdullah and his family of being sympathetic towards terrorists, claiming that Abdullah's true stance has been revealed.

Prasad also suggested that Abdullah made these statements to gain political advantage during elections. The statement said that the real face of Abdullah has been exposed. It has been alleged that Abdullah made these statements to increase his political influence.
