Jaipur- Rajasthan's Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant conducted a virtual meeting on Thursday with regional and district officials to address citizen complaints management through the state's grievance system.

During the conference, Pant announced the upcoming launch of an upgraded version of the state's complaint management platform. He expressed particular concern about the backlog of unresolved cases in major urban centers like Jaipur and Jodhpur.

"While these are our largest districts, we must work to reduce pending complaints through efficient processing," Pant told officials during the video conference.

The senior bureaucrat emphasized public satisfaction as a key metric, directing officials to implement a feedback mechanism to verify if complainants felt their issues were adequately addressed. He also instructed officials to clearly communicate when requests cannot be fulfilled due to budget limitations or policy restrictions.

Pant set specific timelines for complaint resolution, mandating that no case should remain open beyond six months. He encouraged proactive handling rather than waiting until deadlines approach.

To improve transparency, Pant suggested documenting resolved cases with photographic evidence on the portal. He also prioritized complaints related to essential services including water supply, healthcare, food distribution, and financial matters, recommending weekly resolution targets for these categories.

Earlier this month, Pant had issued directives regarding enforcement of the state's hookah bar prohibition legislation as part of the administration's broader anti-drug initiatives championed by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
