Patna- Independent Member of Parliament Rajesh Ranjan, commonly known as Pappu Yadav, received a life threat on Wednesday through a letter delivered to his office in Purnea. The letter, purportedly sent by an individual named Kundan Kumar, warned that Yadav's "countdown has started" and threatened to attack him and explode his office within 15 days.

The letter, sent via speed post, included Kumar's name, address, and two mobile numbers. Kumar, who claims to be from Kamat Kishanganj village in the Chhatapur police station area of Supaul district, referenced Yadav's role as an MP and advised him to stay within his boundaries. The letter also mentioned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned in Sabarmati Jail, and questioned why Yadav had not responded to his calls.

Yadav's team reported the threat to the Purnea Superintendent of Police, requesting immediate action. The threat is being investigated, particularly given the detailed information provided by the sender. This incident follows a recent arrest by Purnea police of an individual connected to a previous threat made against Yadav. However, the individual was later found to have no actual ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, but connections to people close to Pappu Yadav, prompting a shift in the investigation's focus.

This latest threat comes after Yadav made a social media post on October 13, following the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. In the post, Yadav stated that if laws permitted, he would eliminate the Lawrence Bishnoi gang within 24 hours. Following this post, Yadav reported receiving multiple threatening calls and messages.
