New Delhi- On September 13, 2024, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will launch a dedicated web portal for the Special Campaign 4.0, aimed at monitoring its progress. This virtual launch will involve nodal officers from all 84 Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, along with officials from public grievances and appellate authorities.

Special Campaign 4.0, focused on institutionalizing cleanliness (Swachhata) and reducing pending work in government offices, will be implemented from October 2 to October 31, 2024, following a preparatory phase from September 16 to September 30. The campaign will target not only ministries and their offices but also field offices responsible for public service delivery.

Previous editions of the campaign (2021-2023) have been successful, freeing 355 lakh sq. ft. of space, and generating ₹1,162 crore through scrap disposal. The upcoming campaign aims to build on these achievements by adopting a saturation approach in cleanliness and further reducing pending tasks across government offices.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) will coordinate the campaign, and best practices will be showcased during Good Governance Week in December 2024.
