Bulandshahar Distribute Aids to 9000 Divyangjans

Union Minister Inaugurate Event, Connect with Camps Nationwide

New Delhi- The state will provide free aids and assistive devices to more than 9000 Divyangjans under the Assistance to Persons with Disabilities for Purchase/fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP) Scheme of the Government of India from Bulandshahar.

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar inaugurated the 'Samajik Adhikarita Shivirs' in 75 locations across the country. One of the main locations for the event was Bulandshahar. The event began from there and connected online with other camps locations across the country.

Under this scheme, the state government will provide free of cost aids and assistive devices of different categories to the selected Divyangjan beneficiaries. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has collaborated with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) for this venture. ALIMCO is a PSU under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

This event was attended by the Member of Parliament from Bulandshahar, Bhola Singh. On behalf of the state government, senior officers from the District Administration and ALIMCO were present. The event will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of ALIMCO.
