Patna — Chhatra Yuva Shakti organized a torchlight procession in Patna on Saturday evening in support of protesting BPSC candidates. The march began at the Income Tax roundabout and ended at Dakbungla Chowk. Participants voiced their support for the candidates’ demands and highlighted alleged irregularities in the examination process.

The demonstration comes ahead of a Bihar Bandh called for Sunday by Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav. The bandh aims to further support the candidates’ protest and poses a potential challenge to the state government in maintaining law and order.

In Muzaffarpur, the RJD student wing held a separate protest march Saturday, starting at Shaheed Khudiram Bose Stadium and ending at Tower Chowk. Participants burned an effigy of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Amarendra Kumar, state vice president and university in-charge of the RJD student wing, criticized the state government for alleged mishandling of the BPSC examination. He accused the government of allowing examination rigging and called for the exam’s cancellation. Kumar noted ongoing student protests have not led to the BPSC examination's cancellation.

Kumar emphasized the RJD student wing’s commitment to supporting the students’ movement, stating that they will continue their agitation until the exam is officially canceled. He highlighted the support of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for the protests since their inception.

Avinash Kumar, alias Raja Babu, the RJD student wing's in-charge in Muzaffarpur, echoed continued support for the protesting students. He assured that the RJD student wing will remain vocal about student issues until their demands are met.
