VP Dhankhar Inaugurates Sainik School in Gorakhpur

State-of-the-art facility to set benchmark for other schools

Gorakhpur- Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the Sainik School in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, highlighting the transformative power of education in addressing societal issues. During his one-day visit to the state, Dhankhar expressed his pleasure at being part of the event, noting that, as an alumnus of Sainik School Chittaurgarh, this occasion held personal significance.

Commending the school's state-of-the-art facilities, the Vice President emphasized that the new Sainik School sets a high standard for similar institutions across the country.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also spoke at the event, underscoring Gorakhpur's importance as a hub for education and healthcare, serving a population of three crore people from neighboring Nepal, western Bihar, and the Poorvanchal region. He remarked that the development in Gorakhpur has made it a prominent destination in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The Gorakhpur Sainik School, a key initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is the first of its kind in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and the second operated by the Uttar Pradesh Sainik School Society.

Later in the day, Vice President Dhankhar also served as the chief guest at a national seminar on "Rishi Tradition in Modern Life," held at Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang State University in Chitrakoot.
