Collaboration aims to boost aviation, logistics sectors

Guwahati- IIT Guwahati signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Airbus India Private Limited to establish a global training center in Guwahati.

The agreement was signed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and IIT Guwahati Director Prof Devendra Jalihal in the presence of Vice President of Airbus India Suraj Chettri, a statement said.

The memorandum aims to foster an alliance and a shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and the future of aerospace technology and development of a logistics hub in Assam. It is expected that this will not only address the current skills gap but also ignite sustained growth and elevate the global competitiveness of the aviation and logistics sectors in the Northeast.

Chief Minister Sarma hailed the agreement as a significant step forward in creating a robust and dynamic workforce as well as boosting the aviation and logistics sector. He also appreciated the key stakeholders for their dedication and foresight in shaping a future where Assam can thrive as a hub of aviation industry innovation and excellence.
