Hingoli- The principal of the government school at Limbala Makta, Hingoli district in Maharashtra, has been suspended following a formal complaint filed by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and residents of the village. The suspension order was issued after CJP Founder and Convener Abhijeet Dipke raised the matter directly with the Block Development Officer (BDO) from the village itself.

Villagers say they had raised repeated complaints with senior education officials about the principal reporting to school under the influence of alcohol, and that those complaints went unanswered. Dipke visited Limbala Makta on 15 August after residents flagged the risk to students. During the visit, villagers produced photographs and video which they say show the principal with liquor on school premises and asleep inside a classroom during school hours.

CJP escalated the matter the same day, informing the administration that if the principal was not removed by Tuesday, the party would launch a joint protest with villagers. The suspension order followed.

Limbala Makta's government school currently runs five classes with two teachers.

"This is the first big victory for the villagers of Limbala," said Abhijeet Dipke. "I want to dedicate this win to Abdul and his father. As Abdul told me yesterday, 'Ab rukna nahi hai, school theek karke hi rahenge.' Where there is a will, there is a way. No force or pressure can stop the parents who decide to stand up for the children of India."

The suspension has left the school's core problem untouched. Limbala Makta's government school currently runs five classes with two teachers. Dipke said, "How can a school run five classrooms with two teachers? A suspension removes one problem. It does not teach a single child. We are waiting for two more teachers to be posted here, and our fight continues until they arrive."

CJP has demanded the immediate deployment of at least two additional teachers to the school and will continue to press the Hingoli education department until the posting is confirmed in writing. The party has warned the authorities of a protest if the shortage is not addressed.
