Jamshedpur- A shocking video has surfaced on social media, allegedly showing Brijesh Singh, also known as Munna Singh, a prominent leader of the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), violently attacking a tribal woman and her daughter under the Kadma police station area of Jamshedpur. The disturbing footage has sparked widespread outrage and calls for justice as the incident unfolds.
The incident reportedly took place when Munna Singh brutally assaulted the tribal woman, Shubha Sardar, and her 13-year-old daughter with a stick. According to sources, the altercation escalated when Singh slapped the young girl, causing her to fall to the ground. Witnesses claim that after the slap, the girl was unable to hear from one ear, indicating the severity of the assault.
When the mother, rushed to protect her daughter, Munna Singh allegedly retreated to his house, only to return with a stick. He then mercilessly beat the woman, inflicting severe injuries. The incident reportedly attracted the attention of several bystanders who intervened, eventually bringing the situation under control.
Despite the gravity of the incident, reports suggest that no action has been taken against Munna Singh due to his political connections and influence. The case has reached the Kadma Police Station, but authorities have so far refrained from arresting the AJSU leader. The police have stated that an investigation is underway, but many fear that the case may be brushed under the carpet due to Munna Singh's powerful connections.
When confronted by local media, Munna Singh provided conflicting statements. To some outlets, he claimed that the woman had verbally abused him, which led to the altercation, while to others, he flatly denied any involvement in the beating. He dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded.
Following the uproar and the video going viral on social media, Jharkhand Yuva Morcha District President Babban Rai led a delegation to the Kadma Police Station. During the visit, the police informed Rai that an FIR had been registered against the accused under the provisions of the SC/ST Act, and his arrest was imminent.
Rai expressed his concern over the delay in arresting the accused leader, despite the gravity of the crime. He stated that if Munna Singh is not apprehended soon, the Jharkhand Yuva Morcha would escalate the matter by meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren during his upcoming visit to the Kolhan region. Rai emphasized that the Morcha would demand justice for the victim and ensure that such incidents do not go unpunished.
This incident comes at a time when crimes against women are making headlines across the country. With rising reports of rape, molestation, and assault, the viral video has added fuel to the ongoing debate about women's safety and justice in India. Many are now questioning whether the police will take appropriate action or if the case will be quietly dismissed.
