New Delhi- In a landmark collaboration, InMobi, CyberPeace Foundation, and Jamia Hamdard University launched the pioneering “Cyber Sheroes” program on April 25, coinciding with International Girls in ICT Day 2025. The initiative seeks to equip young women with critical cybersecurity skills, fostering a new wave of digital leaders.
The high-impact conference, titled “Girls in ICT: Code, Secure, Lead,” brought together prominent figures from academia, government, and industry. The event’s centerpiece was the official unveiling of the ‘Cyber Sheroes’ program—an InMobi and Glance for Good initiative designed to cultivate a robust network of female cyber defenders through training, mentorship, and grassroots engagement. The program focuses on cyber hygiene, threat reporting, digital resilience, and community outreach, empowering girls to safeguard the digital ecosystem.
Prof. (Dr.) Md. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, remarked, “Today, we don’t just celebrate digital natives—we champion digital defenders. ‘Cyber Sheroes’ will inspire girls to lead the charge in cybersecurity, creating a ripple effect across communities. We extend our gratitude to InMobi and our partners for this transformative initiative.”
Dr. Subi Chaturvedi, Global SVP & Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at InMobi and creator of the program, emphasized, “The digital world needs inclusive leadership, and ‘Cyber Sheroes’ embodies this vision. Ensuring girls are not just online but empowered, skilled, and safe is a collective responsibility. This initiative is a bold step toward a secure digital future.” She added that the partnership with Jamia Hamdard and CyberPeace will drive nationwide impact.
Over 150 students from Delhi-NCR participated in interactive workshops, hands-on cyber training, and leadership sessions. Of these, 100 girls who successfully completed the program were honored as ‘Cyber Sheroes’, receiving certificates and honorary pins. These young leaders will now spearhead digital helpdesks and awareness campaigns in their schools and neighborhoods.
A special cyber hygiene and digital tools workshop was conducted by Col. Sanjeev Relia, a renowned cybersecurity expert, further enhancing participants’ technical proficiency.
Major Vineet Kumar, Founder of CyberPeace Foundation, stated, “‘Cyber Sheroes’ will create a generation of first responders—trained not only to protect themselves but to defend others. We are proud to support this community-driven model and partner with InMobi in this mission.”
Echoing the sentiment, ACP Manoj Kumar of Delhi Police said, “Digital crimes are evolving rapidly, and empowering young people—especially girls—as early responders is critical. The Cyber Sheroes initiative is aligned with our goal of building a secure, inclusive cyber environment in Delhi and beyond,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) with the Delhi Police.
