Varanasi- The Uttar Pradesh government will construct a Vedic-3D museum in Varanasi. This museum will be dedicated to Indian astrology, astronomy, and Vedic literature. The chief minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath, made this announcement during his maiden visit to the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Kashi.

The museum will highlight the evolution of Vedic literature and it will showcase the contributions of Indian sages. It will also serve as a platform to revive the tradition of ‘Shastrationtha'(spiritual discourse). During his visit to the university, the chief minister also saw the rare manuscripts preserved in the historic Saraswati Bhawan. These manuscripts include the ‘Raas Panchadhyayi’, Shrimad Bhagwat Gita, and Durgasaptashati. They are all inscribed with gold letters and adorned with gold artistry on special cloth.

The conservation work of the manuscripts is being carried out by the National Manuscript Mission on the backing of the government of India. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also inspected the 234-year-old main building and called for the installation of Sanskrit signboards for all departments.
