World Heritage Committee Praises India's Conservation Efforts

New Delhi- The World Heritage Committee praised the conservation efforts of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) during the recent visit of the delegates of the committee to Delhi and the surrounding area.

ASI organized a designated day off for its delegates to explore the area and experience the local culture. This was to make the stay of the delegates memorable. The delegates had the opportunity to explore the area and engage with its cultural heritage.

Delegates were captivated by the vibrant charm of Dilli Haat, where India's rich cultural tapestry comes alive. They experienced the best of traditional crafts, cuisine, and performances in an authentic Indian market setting.

They were impressed by the site's cultural and natural significance and acknowledged the conservation efforts of the Archaeological Survey of India. They also commended the site's management team for their dedication to preserving the site's integrity and authenticity.

The World Heritage Committee is holding its 1st meeting in India at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from 21 to 31 July. The committee is expected to discuss the listing of 25 new World Heritage Properties to the World Heritage List.
