New Delhi- This week, the Mauritius Delegation visited the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in India. The high-level official visit, which lasted from September 23 to 25, 2024, aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance the capacity of public officers in Mauritius.
The talks were focused on the roadmap for collaboration between the NCGG and the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms for conducting capacity building programs, including faculty development programs. Both parties also discussed the roles and responsibilities of District Collectors in India, governance challenges, and reforms aimed at enhancing public service delivery.
The Mauritius delegation also engaged with experts from various institutions, including the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) and the National Archives of India (NAI). The delegation was briefed on educational frameworks in public administration, governance structures, and decentralization. The delegation also had a zero-tolerance approach toward corruption by the Central Vigilance Commission.
The visit concluded with a clear roadmap for enhanced bilateral cooperation and capacity building programs for senior and mid-level public officers in Mauritius.
