New Delhi- The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has joined hands with UNICEF India through a Letter of Intent (LoI) to enhance communication and engagement systems within rural communities for social transformation. This collaboration aims to institutionalize effective channels of communication between the Ministry, elected representatives, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and rural populations.

The partnership is designed to accelerate progress toward localized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving how information is shared with citizens, particularly focusing on women and children. This will ensure better delivery of essential services in rural areas.

By utilizing technology to boost communication and feedback mechanisms, the Ministry is dedicated to ensuring that critical government policies reach rural communities efficiently. This initiative will empower rural citizens, enabling them to make informed decisions, enhance service delivery, and foster transparency in governance, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and well-connected rural India.
