India, Bangladesh Forge Futuristic Cooperation Vision

New Delhi- After talks at Hyderabad House on Saturday, the Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh have prepared a futuristic vision for cooperation in new areas. The joint statement issued by the two countries mentions plans to strengthen the relationship in areas like Green Partnership, Digital Partnership, Blue Economy, Space, and more.

According to the joint statement, “Today we have prepared a futuristic vision for cooperation in new areas. The youth of both the countries will benefit from the consensus reached on cooperation in many areas like Green Partnership, Digital Partnership, Blue Economy, Space etc. We have kept connectivity, commerce, and collaboration in focus.”

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has welcomed the decision of Bangladesh to join the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative. He said that the two countries will strengthen their cooperation in other regional and international forums as well. The statement also mentions the intention of both the countries to start negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to take economic relations to new heights.

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, has expressed her gratitude towards India for the hospitality extended to her country during her two-day visit. The two dignitaries also expressed their commitment to strengthening the long-term partnership between India and Bangladesh.
