New Delhi- The government will launch a special campaign to redress the grievances of 1891 family pensioners of various departments. Under this campaign, the pendency of family pension grievances will be reduced, it is expected.

The month-long special campaign for effective redressal of family pensioners grievances will be started on July 1. Under this, 46 departments of government will participate. The campaign is part of the 100-day action plan of the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DOLPW).

According to the information given by the government, at present, about 90,000 cases are registered on the Centralized Pension Grievance and Redress System (CPENGRAMS) in a year.

The grievances can be registered directly on the portal (URL:www.pgportal.gov.in/PENSION/) by the applicant or by DOLPW on receipt of details through e-mail, post, or toll-free number 1800-11-1960. The family pension related grievances constitute about 20-25% of all grievances, the government said. The majority of these grievances are of women pensioners.

The government has shortlisted the family pension related grievances to be redressed during the special campaign from the grievances registered on the CPENGRAMS Portal. The process of redressal of these grievances will be started soon after the start of the campaign on July 1. The government has requested the concerned departments to complete the work on time.
