New Delhi- The BJP has accused leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc of selectively visiting victims in states where they do not govern, while ignoring those in states under their control.
At a press conference in New Delhi, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan, criticized key opposition figures, including Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. He alleged that these leaders have turned a blind eye to atrocities against Dalits in Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Murugan condemned what he described as the selectivism of Rahul Gandhi, pointing out that Gandhi visits places like Hathras but neglects Tamil Nadu, where several people recently died after consuming illicit liquor.
He also criticized the Tamil Nadu government and Chief Minister Stalin, claiming that atrocities against Dalits have risen significantly under the DMK administration. " Since the DMK government has come to power in Tamil Nadu, cases of atrocities against Dalits have increased significantly. According to a survey, over 2,000 such cases are being registered annually" the minister said.
