Patna- The Bihar Police have registered an FIR on the basis of an email that was sent to the Chief Minister's Office in Patna. The email had claimed that the sender was a member of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.

The email was received on August 16 in the official mail of the Chief Minister's House. After its receipt, a preliminary investigation by the Sachivalaya Police Station SHO Sanjeev Kumar revealed that the sender had hatched a conspiracy to implicate some people who were in acquaintance with him.

The Bihar Police have claimed in the FIR that the sender of the email has been identified and will be arrested soon.

According to the FIR available on the website of the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) of Bihar Police, the case has been registered against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and IT Act.
