New Delhi- The recent Lok Sabha elections have culminated in the formation of the strongest opposition in India's political history, with the INDIA Mahagathbandhan ( Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance)  securing a record 234 seats.

The BJP has won 240 seats -- 32 short of the majority mark of 272 in Lok Sabha. TDP and JDU together hold 28 seats and along with BJP's other allies, NDA will be past the magic figure.

This unprecedented consolidation of opposition forces marks a significant shift in the political landscape, suggesting that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will face considerable challenges in the upcoming term.

Social media is abuzz with a wave of sarcasm, cartoons, and caricatures targeting acting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The internet is flooded with mockery, with Modi being derisively referred to as "Apang Tanashah" (crippled dictator).

Smriti Irani's loss in Amethi, a constituency she wrested from Rahul Gandhi in the previous election, has been a focal point of online jubilation. Activist and Public Interest Lawyer Prashant Bhushan took a dig at the main stream media who had been supporting the Modi government all these years. He wrote " How Godi Media crossed all limits of sycophancy. All these channels and anchors should be boycotted".

One of the most striking social media reactions came in the form of a scathing commentary on Modi's tenure. A user wrote:

"One day or the other the vessel of sins fills up. Curses are not visible but they definitely show their effect. Today the saying came true that if Ravana's pride could not survive then how can a human being survive? Therefore if you are a human being then you should show humanity and run the country together because another truth is that no one will go to Pakistan or Eurasia."

This image is now being countered by a Dalit narrative wherein Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is seen leading a little girl to a school. This contrasting narrative symbolizes the sociopolitical shift India is witnessing after the election results, where the BJP and NDA's influence has notably reduced. In the post, handler Tribal Army writes, " The victory of a Dalit leader in Ayodhya is the victory of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar's dreams and the defeat of BJP's Hindutva."
