Mhow- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the RSS and BJP during a "Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan" rally in Mhow on Monday. He accused the organizations of betraying the nation and holding responsibility for Mahatma Gandhi's assassination.

Kharge cited historical statements by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Jawaharlal Nehru, following Gandhi's 1948 death, to support his claims. He quoted Sardar Patel as alleging that the RSS's celebration of the assassination revealed their culpability and even advocated for their ban. Kharge also referenced Nehru's deep disturbance over the event and his insistence on eradicating the communal forces behind it.

The Congress president used these statements to highlight the RSS's alleged lack of contribution to India's freedom struggle and contrasted it with their assassination of a man who dedicated his life to the nation. He further accused the BJP of fabricating stories to obscure the historical truth.

Kharge went on to warn about the dangers of continued BJP and RSS dominance, claiming they are fostering religious divisions in society. He expressed concern that this could lead to further marginalization of Dalits and Adivasis, even barring them from temples. He urged these communities to remember that their rights are enshrined in the Constitution and not to fall prey to the BJP-RSS narrative.

**Kharge made these remarks at the Congress' "Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan" rally in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of Dr B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.** While emphasizing the importance of religious faith, Kharge drew a line against its exploitation for political purposes. He stated, "We all have faith in religion, but we will not tolerate it if the poor and underprivileged are exploited in the name of religion.”
