Haryana Minister Slams Kejriwal Over Yamuna Pollution Claims

Chandigarh- Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij launched a sharp critique of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday, calling him "the king of liars" and accusing him of attempting to create panic through false statements about the Yamuna water pollution issue. Vij dismissed Kejriwal's claims, stating that his government had already provided multiple clarifications on the matter and warned that spreading panic is a criminal offense.

Addressing questions about the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Vij expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects, pointing to the corruption charges facing Kejriwal and several of his ministers. While acknowledging that they had received bail, Vij emphasized that the cases were still ongoing and suggested that Delhi voters would be hesitant to support leaders facing such serious allegations. When questioned about accusations that the BJP was wielding federal investigative agencies for political purposes, Vij defended the judicial process, stating that the courts operate independently and would make their own determinations.

The Transport Minister also outlined several initiatives to improve Haryana's public transportation system. His plans include expanding the state's bus fleet with 650 new vehicles, partnering with Haryana Tourism to enhance food quality at bus terminals, and developing a real-time bus tracking application. The tracking system, which will cover both government and private buses, aims to provide passengers and staff with up-to-date location information through terminal display boards and mobile access.
