Bengaluru- A shocking hate speech controversy has erupted in Bengaluru's Koramangala neighborhood after viral videos surfaced showing local resident Satyanishth Arya using abusive and threatening language against Christianity and Islam.

In one clip, Arya aggressively confronts a church priest during a public event, mocking the virgin birth of Jesus Christ by questioning how Mother Mary conceived "without sex." In another, the self proclaimed sadhu makes deeply derogatory comments on Prophet Muhammad referencing his relation with Hazrat Aisha.

These videos, which have amassed hundreds of views on X (formerly Twitter), are being condemned as provocative content that wounds religious sentiments and risks inciting communal hatred.

Rising Falcon, a collective that fights against hate speech & hate crimes first highlighted the videos in posts on December 22, urging Bengaluru City Police, Karnataka DGP and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to investigate under laws addressing hate speech, intimidation, and threats to communal harmony. The team alleges Arya monetizes such content through a Slice Small Finance Bank account linked to his name in the Koramangala branch, raising red flags about financial platforms enabling hate propagation.

In a follow-up statement, the team confirmed it has formally shared all evidence, including video links and bank details traced from captions, with Bengaluru Police, calling for swift action under stringent laws like the National Security Act (NSA) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) due to the repeated nature of the offenses and potential threat to social harmony.

The first video, recorded in what appears to be a church prayer meeting or public debate, shows Arya dressed in a purple kurta with a tilak, storming in and accosting the priest. He dismisses the Bible as a "foreign book" not manufactured in India and declares, "In my Hindu Rashtra, no foreign religion's propagation will be allowed besides Sanatan Dharma." Chanting "Jai Shri Ram," he asserts, "Jesus Christ is not ours, but Ram is," and compares the setting to the Babri Masjid, urging Hindus to "change religions."

The confrontation escalates when he probes the priest on Jesus' birth: "Mother Mary, who gave birth to Jesus, how did she get pregnant? The priest responds calmly about divine conception, but Arya's tone turns mocking and threatening, "Christ was born through the Holy Spirit? You can give birth without sex? When a woman intervenes and says- That's God's son, Arya gets sarcastic-" Explain this to a gynecologist, baby! Are you educated? How were you born, can you explain the process of child birth.." with bystanders appearing uncomfortable.

The second video, in a TikTok-style format, features Arya pulling exaggerated faces with a vile slur alluding to the Prophet's marriage to Hazrat Aisha. The clip includes donation calls tied to his Slice Small Finance Bank account. This content is overtly inflammatory, designed for virality and monetization. The Rising falcon team urged the authorities to take immediate cognizance of the videos and initiate a thorough investigation under relevant sections of law dealing with hate speech, intimidation, and threats to communal harmony. They also asked the CM to direct law-enforcement agencies to act firmly against those who repeatedly spread religious hatred and fear, as such actions pose a serious risk to social harmony, unity, and constitutional values. Hate speech and intimidation in the name of religion must not be allowed to go unchecked.

Later, sharing updates on the complaint, the collective stated that all information related to the accused and his videos that was available with them has been formally shared with Bengaluru Police. The identity of the accused was traced through the bank account mentioned in the captions of his videos. The account is linked to a Slice Small Finance Bank branch located in Koramangala, Bengaluru, which helped establish jurisdiction and identification. "We hope the authorities will take swift and decisive action and ensure that appropriate legal proceedings are initiated, including action under stringent laws such as the NSA and UAPA, considering the repeated hate speech, threats, and potential danger to social harmony. Accountability is essential to protect public order, communal harmony, and constitutional values," the post read.
